ABOUT TOM LEMMING
For over 45 years, Tom Lemming has been America's only national high school football scout — personally evaluating thousands of prospects from every corner of the country.
45+ Years on the Recruiting Trail
Tom Lemming began his journey as a football scout in 1978, driven by a passion for the game and a belief that the nation's best prep talent deserved a dedicated advocate on the national stage. Over four decades later, he stands alone as the only person to have personally scouted high school football talent on a truly national scale.
After spending years as the leading preps analyst for ESPN, Tom joined College Sports TV (CSTV), now CBS Sports Network, where he hosted his own show, "The Lemming Report." He has written for ESPN, USA Today, and Sporting News — and was named one of "The Power 100" most powerful people in sports by The Sporting News magazine.
Tom was instrumental in the selection process for the US Army All-American Bowl Game and Combine in San Antonio, TX. To this day, college recruiters visit his home during the May evaluation period to watch film on players from across the country.
"The Lemming Report is the Bible of College Football Recruiting."— Gil Brandt, NFL Talent Scout
"Tom Lemming became a great resource to our recruiting efforts. I liked him from the beginning — he was smart, honest, and I appreciated his love for the game and his passion for the recruiting process."— Lloyd Carr, Former Head Football Coach, University of Michigan
Author Michael Lewis recognized Lemming as "the only national football scout in America" in his celebrated book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game. Tom starred as himself in the 2009 film adaptation, earning him recognition far beyond the football world.
